M&A Financial Analyst

Global consulting and staffing company is looking for a M&A Financial Analyst to join the team.

The M&A financial analyst will work with the Director of Corporate Development to support all aspects of TPG’s M&A efforts, with a particular focus on due diligence, drafting integration workplans and developing the M&A pipeline. The M&A financial analyst will also work with the CFO and Director of FP&A to execute strategic initiatives across all business units, including forecasting and budgeting, KPI tracking and ROI analysis.

This person will support all internal and external due diligence workstreams and work with the Director of Corporate Development to synthesize and summarize such material for the executive management team along with the Board of Directors. Typical diligence includes, but is not limited to, financial due diligence and modeling (internally executed), accounting/quality of earnings due diligence (integrated approach with external providers), legal (working with external counsel), operational (synthesizing the feedback from the internal operations team to underwrite synergies), as well as other third-party workstreams like tax, IT, insurance / benefits, and environmental.

This person will also help the Director of Corporate Development on prospecting priorities including developing, managing, and growing a database of prospective acquisition targets.

In addition, the analyst will help support the FP&A and business operations team summarize KPIs, analyze financial and operational trends and complete other FP&A activities as appropriate.

This person will report directly to the Director of Corporate Development and interact regularly with the CFO, Director of FP&A, and with other members of the senior leadership team at TPG. The Company anticipates completing multiple acquisitions per year and expects to increase this pace of acquisition over time.

• Build and maintain complex financial models to support new investment opportunities and actively support financial budgeting for the acquisitions
• Conduct due diligence and assist in the management of legal, financial, and third-party advisors
• Conduct detailed research on prospective companies across the Company’s core and adjacent markets • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Willingness to take on both large and small tasks ?a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude
• Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Qualifications:

• 1-4 years of post-undergrad experience at an investment bank, investment firm, accounting firm or corporate development division of a company preferred
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university (pre-MBA)
• Extensive M&A transaction experience
• Experience working in a private equity environment (whether as an investor or counterparty)
• Experience working in (or with) services businesses (staffing / consulting preferred but not a must)
• Strong communication skills, including ability to synthesize findings for an executive team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (with extreme proficiency in Excel and PPT) required
