Must Haves:

Preferred:
– Background knowledge of foreign affairs is (highly recommended)
– Proven office, administrative and academic support skills

Responsibilities
• Serving as the main point of contact for the Secretary and responding to students, faculty, university leadership, media, and other inquiries
• Managing the Secretary’s complex calendar including overseeing and planning all aspects of frequent travel relating to work
• Coordinating day-to-day movements in the greater Boston Area
• Drafting and editing handwritten and email correspondence
• Producing and coordinating the production of background memos before meetings
• Editing/cleaning drafts of op-eds, articles, course cases, etc.
• Event planning and promotion, including media details and research and preparation of briefings
• Maintaining filing systems and contact databases for center business, courses, and other activities
• Performing administrative duties for Secretary courses, including booking rooms, arranging for class events, and providing administrative guidance to course assistants
• Managing communication between Center staff including research assistants, course assistants, and research project staff
• Coordinating additional special projects and assignments, as needed
