Operations Manager for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

Required:

  • Prior management or supervisory experience of AP, AR, Travel &Expense
  • Large company experience
  • ERP system experience

 

This hire will lead the Credit Control (Accounts Receivable) and Accounts Payable functions (including T&E). Work with business partners to continuously improve, processes and systems to most optimal and efficient level while maintaining the integrity of the control structure in addition to compliance with relevant regulations. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the US Credit Control and Accounts Payable operations. 
    • Lead, develop, and manage the AR and AP teams
    • Establish team goals associated with continuous improvements and work with team to meet goals.
    • Establish and implement systemic process improvements (increased efficiency while maintaining / enhancing controls).
    • Improve working capital by managing effectively DPO and DSO.
    • Create, maintain, and monitor processing metrics (volume, type, etc.) to establish and monitor benchmarks. 
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant cross-border regulatory frameworks relevant to commercial transactions (i.e., tax) remain in compliance
  • Manage T&E process and submission, review, and audit process –
    • Communicate and update T&E policy across the company
    • Identifying improvements in process and systemic alternatives. Implement and maintain matching system for Corporate Card against T&E submissions in advance of systemic solution. 
  • Work with the International region counterparts in identifying and aligning best practices for global consistency. Serve as Global Subject Matter Expert for Accounts payable process.
  • Assist with preparing audit requests.
  • Work with, and at the direction of, the Treasurer and the US Controllership function on ad hoc requests and projects.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to manage global teams.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize – must be able to manage time effectively in a challenging global environment.
  • Professional approach and self-confident – able to win confidence and deal with a wide range of internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, who can resolve problems effectively and has a flexibility and willingness to take on work as required
  • Proven ability to manage change.
  • High level of comfort and intellectual curiosity relating to the detailed workings of an ERP system’s functionality.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Accountancy qualification preferred
  • Prior management or supervisory experience of finance operations teams in an environment that includes cross-border transactions for a multi-national corporation with a global distribution network
  • Prior success in setting up or being part of centralized service functions.
  • Experience with ERP system upgrades or implementation, a plus
  • Experience with acquisition integration, a plus
