Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or its equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in Finance analysis and/or accounting for federal awards
- Expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred:
- Training in a technical field or scientific/technical writing, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant fields
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of related experience in grants administration
- Experience in higher education or other large, complex institution desirable
Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Award Management, the Grants Financial Analyst supports budgeting actions related to pre- and post-award grant administration for international projects. The Grants Financial Analyst works in close collaboration with a team of Senior Grants Managers to support budget allocations for established projects and prepare proposal budgets for new funding opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Allocation
- Prepare budget allocations in accordance with new funding, restriction releases and current budgeted values
- Confirm financial system records match prepared allocations
- Collect and coordinate compliance documents to support budget allocation submissions and institutional approvals
Proposal budgets
- Support the development of program budgets in response to funding opportunities
- Review and interpret budget guidance from potential funders to manage team inputs
- Prepare accompanying budget justifications as needed
