The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for accounting tasks associated with analyzing and reconciling balance sheet accounts for multiple entities, accounts receivables, month-end close tasks, participating in year-end audit, and supporting the AP/AR function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist and adhere to month end closing deadlines.

• Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers and logs, as required, in accordance with GAAP.

• Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts.

• Maintain detailed accounting and reconciliation of specific Marketing Funds

• Accurately enter expense reports into Concur, reconcile any outstanding or unsubmitted transactions to resolution, and book approved payments in Great Plains.  

• Provide internal customer assistance to regional employees regarding travel & reimbursement policy questions and process monthly mileage reports.

• Accurately process vendor invoices, obtain manager approvals on a timely basis, and process weekly payment run via EFT, Wire, and/or check.

• Assist with year-end 1099 preparation.

• Invoice customers as needed and track receivables to be collected.

• Support mid- year and year-end audit completion with regard to AR and AP selections

• Assist in Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance, Bachelors preferred

• Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience in accounting role

• Experience in intercompany accounting & inventory a plus

• Experience with Great Plains and Concur is a plus

• Proficient with Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)

• Ability to meet critical deadlines on a daily basis
