About the Role:

As the Principal Technical Accountant, you will report to the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and play a key role in researching and accounting for complex transactions such as acquisitions, debt modifications, and equity contracts. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for the accounting changes and learning opportunities that come with a growing technology company. The ability to meet deadlines and flexibility while handling changing priorities are essential in this position.

What You’ll Do:

•            Monitor, review, research and interpret GAAP and accounting pronouncements for policy/financial statement implications

•            Assist in the research and documentation of complex and non-routine technical accounting matters & prepare accounting memoranda supporting complex transactions

•            Maintain procedures to comply with internal control requirements

•            Offer support and training to accounting team members after implementing new standards and policies

•            Adding improvements to the Company's policy documentation and procedures to enhance the overall quality of financial reporting efforts

•            Serving as the main contact for external auditors on most technical accounting matters

What You Need to Succeed:

•            Excellent accounting skills and strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and change of control requirements

•            Experience working with multiple legal entities

•            Must be detail oriented

•            Ability to work and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

•            5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge

•            2+ years of specialized/industry experience

•            Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
