Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-4 years of job-related experience in the following industries: pharmaceutical/generics, finance, consulting or computer science
  • Advanced Excel skills

Plus:

  • Experience with a programming language such as VBA or Python preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with developing queries and reports in database tools such as Qlik, Access or SQL

Job Description/Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis and make pricing recommendations on product launches, challenges, and new opportunities for retail-class customers, taking into account market conditions, competitive environment, customer strategies, and portfolio mix.
  • Analyze market dynamics, as well as current and historical results of pricing activity, to identify actionable opportunities, develop ideas, and make recommendations as necessary for pro-active price increases and defensive contracting strategies to maintain share and price.
  • Manage customer communications related to product and pricing changes, and works with trade partners to ensure contract price lists and product changes are accurately implemented between Sandoz and trade partners.
  • Work with Contracts Department, Account Management, Marketing and Legal Counsel on analysis supporting the development and implementation of new potential customers.
  • Monitor financial impact of customer specific contract pricing terms and communicates results with management and Finance.
  • Proactively solicit feedback from key stakeholders and align goals and objectives in order to achieve results across multiple functional areas of the Company, effectively influencing leadership to achieve buy-in for new analytics and strategic or tactical pricing opportunities.
  • Is process centered and receptive to and implements suggestions for process improvement while holding self accountable for producing high quality, compliant results.
  • Work on ad-hoc organizational projects supporting new business development as well as ongoing Commercial Operations initiatives.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/generics, finance, consulting or computer science industries
  • Proven ability to self-manage a diverse and dynamic set of responsibilities, competing priorities, proactively solve problems and suggest viable solutions, while advancing goals and objectives
  • Highly developed time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work cross functionally and drive initiatives that span multiple departments
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills – ability to comprehensively communicate across departments to gain process/project alignment
  • Demonstrated experience with developing queries and reports in database tools such as Qlik, Access or SQL
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Advanced Excel experience required
