Job Summary/Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter reporting into the FP&A team, whose key role and responsibilities will encompass financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, accounting and analysis to support the Company’s business development, strategic and portfolio management activities. This position will support company with modeling and evaluating M&A and licensing opportunities, strategic and portfolio planning initiatives, and FP&A activities for key growth centers in the Company.  The Strategic Financial Analyst will interact with senior management across the entire transaction lifecycle, with an emphasis on financial projections and their impact to the financial statements, investment and return metrics (IRR, NPV, ROIC), and other relevant financial metrics as needed. Our ideal candidate would also want to grow within our organization.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
•    Prepare accurate and timely financial models and analyses in support of deals, portfolio projects, strategic planning, and investment opportunities under tight deadlines; create financial models capable of showing multiple scenarios and sensitivities.
•    Routinely drive evaluation of business development, portfolio, and pipeline opportunities using industry and financial data sources to develop and validate key assumptions.
•    Communicate key drivers and conclusions from financial models to broad, cross-functional audiences.
•    Incorporate externally-validated research and analysis that shows leading indicators and key business projections and results.
•    Support FP&A processes for Lantheus’ entrepreneurial growth engine, Corporate Development, including developing, updating, and communicating internal revenue and expense forecasts for new business efforts
•    Provide support for financial partnering to the Corporate Development function and Chief Business Officer by managing purchase orders, preparing month-end accruals and related journal entries, analyzing historical spend and facilitating the budget and forecast development.
•    Demonstrate basic understanding of financial and accounting concepts and enterprise systems to support accounting and financial planning needs of non-financial clients
•    Analyze functional spend and revenue (actual vs budget/forecast and vs prior historical periods) and prepare reports for the assigned function; present those reports during monthly management meetings and quarterly audit reviews.
•    Support Finance & Accounting team’s facilitation of cross-functional implementation of new or improved processes/systems for all related financial systems critical to core organizational functions.
•    Provide support for the creation of presentations for senior management.
•    Manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
•    Develop and maintain relationships with various levels of personnel.
•    Engage with functional leaders to gather inputs.
•    Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.
•    Assist as needed with building and maintaining dashboards and weekly/monthly reports for portfolio projects and deals under consideration.
•    Complete all company-based and job-related training as assigned by company within the required timeline.
•    Challenge processes and the status quo to drive improvements.

Job Requirements
•    BA/BS degree in Finance or equivalent. 
•    CPA or CFA preferred
•    Minimum years of experience: 2
•    Prior consulting, investment banking, corporate finance or related M&A experience required.
•    Robust financial modeling and deal analysis experience essential.
•    Experience with risk adjustments as applied to investment decisions; discount rates & NPV analysis, probability of technical and regulatory success, etc.   
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to provide meaningful analysis (toggles, project & deal scenarios).
•    Demonstrate strong business acumen.
•    Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, team environment with tight deadlines. 
•    Knowledge of financial statement budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.
•    Feel comfortable challenging business partners and make recommendations.
•    Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
•    Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
•    Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
•    Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels.
