Works independently to ensure the daily operations of the Tax Department are carried out. Independently reviews fiduciary income tax returns and other tax compliance packages prepared by the bank’s outsourced tax vendor for any needed corrections and ensures completion of the same. Works closely with the bank’s trust officers to provide tax related guidance and decision making in order to provide exceptional service to our clients




  • Reviews income tax returns for various Revocable, Irrevocable, Estate and Charitable entities.
  • Analyzes client source documents and inputs relevant data into income tax software for the preparation of a small number of individual income tax returns.  Clears points and makes any needed changes requested by reviewer to finalize returns and create deliverable to tax client.
  • Works closely with the Tax Manager on all individual tax payments including calculation and review of annual balances due to ensure timely remittance of same.
  • Coordinates the payment and mailing of all non-electronic remittances of fiduciary tax estimates and balances due to ensure payments are made timely and confirms receipt of same by the IRS and various state revenue agencies.
  • Works closely with Relationship Managers in obtaining new Employer Identification Numbers from the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Interacts with Relationship Managers and outsourced tax provider to manage workload and data review throughout tax season, including coordinating delivery of Fiduciary tax packages to outside Trustees.
  • Maintains proactive tracking of various tasks to ensure an efficient and organized tax season. 





  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Taxation or Finance.
  • Minimum 7 years of tax preparation experience, preferably in high volume, private wealth management tax department, with focus on fiduciary returns.
  • Knowledge of SEI, OneSource Trust Tax, and Thompson-Reuters Ultra Tax CS preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn various tax and trust related systems. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail.
