Client Job Title: Human Resources Workday Analyst

Contract to Hire

Job Location: Remote for Now Los Angeles, CA 

Looking to re-enter the office later in 2022 (most likely hybrid: in a couple times a week)

Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm (7 and a half workdays) – not sure yet but will most likely be exempt role

Team Size: They will be reporting to the Compensation Manager most likely as they are currently taking on these responsibilities. 800-900 employees as the job is nationwide for all of their offices.

Interview Process: 2-3 rounds max all over ZOOM

1st round with Director of Business Professional Recruiting and Employee Experience

2n round with Compensation Manager and CHRO (will try to get both on the second round)

Must Haves:

Technical Skills, great listening skills and great communication skills – willing to learn!

  • Must have strong knowledge of Workday
  • 3+ years of HRIS experience (4-5 years is ideal)
  • Strong technical skills
  • Work experience at a company that has implemented both Workday HCM and Payroll

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree is highly preferred 

Job Summary/Description:

Human Resources Workday Analyst

Los Angeles Office

In this role, the Human Resources (HR) Workday Analyst will support our HR team, other internal business partners, and company management in the development, ongoing maintenance, and operational and technical support of all aspects of the Workday HCM system. In addition, this person is encouraged to take a meaningful role in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of key HR projects that leverage the Workday platform or related third-party vendor applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Workday HCM system expert and primary point-of-contact for day-to-day support of business processes, integrations, reporting, and dashboards to ensure consistent, high-quality business operations.

• Partner with our HR team and other internal stakeholders to help them define business requirements, implement, test, and deploy additional HCM modules, changes to business processes, or integrations as needed.

• Develop system reporting and analytics to enable our HR business partners to identify trends and to empower leadership decision-making.

• Work with our IT team to manage security re-assignments, user access and permissions, and integrations-related security issues.

• Support and testing for Workday system updates or upgrades.

• Identify system gaps and deficiencies, and if applicable, suggest standard methodologies or process improvements to help fill those gaps.

• Conduct long-term improvement projects to ensure compatibility with the company's evolving business applications landscape and needs.

• Develop strong trusted advisor relationships with key client partners to advise and influence business direction and change efforts.

• Help connect dots across the company, ensuring communication flow between multiple functions and operating mechanisms.

• Apply project principles to effectively roll out process improvement solutions and new process optimization enterprise standards.

• Keep a pulse on our business, maintain a strong feedback loop on organizational needs, and update the CHRO and CIO as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of HRIS experience

• Minimum of 4+ years of Workday experience.

• Strong configuration knowledge of Workday HCM, including Core HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Talent, Recruiting, ADP Payroll and Time Tracking.

• Strong Workday Reporting including Sophisticated Reports, Matrix and composite reports.

• Understand Workday security and controls to successfully handle and maintain security and roles.

• Experience working with confidential information and critical business operations and processes.

• High attention to detail and high priority matters.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements or objectives.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with strict timelines and delivery dates.

• Good communication and social skills, including the ability to set clear expectations with partners and raise issues as needed.

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in a Technology-related field)

• Workday or related certifications.

• Work experience at a company that has implemented both Workday HCM and Payroll.
