Description:

  • Responsible for scheduling and tracking all craft training & assist with professional development when necessary
  • Will maintain the NCCER Accreditation by ensuring our client follows all proper processes and procedures
  • Works closely with field and craft recruiters to assist onboarding of craft employees
  • Schedules all required training for craft employees with the Houston Area Safety Council
  • Works closely with the Department of Labor to ensure our client is meeting the requirements of the T&D apprenticeship program Responsible for updating the DOLs RAPID website for T&D Apprenticeship
  • Administer and proctor all T&D apprenticeship classification computer exams
  • Administer, track, and report all required safety training regarding employees on partnered projects
  • Administer and track all Heavy Equipment specific training as needed
  • Assist with organizing the Craft Leadership Boot Camps
  • Identify and determine methods of improvement regarding the Training Departments scheduling and tracking processes
  • Responsible for taking professional notes and minutes in all appropriate committee meetings
  • Track and ensure all craft employees are in compliance with required safety training

Requirements:
Technical:

  • Ability to speak and present in front of small groups
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills to properly track training progress and maintain good, organized databases used for reporting purposes
  • Able to build and maintain good, positive, professional relationships

Physical:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of related industry experience required
  • NCCER Master Trainer and Administrator Certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with industrial craft positions and certifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • High School diploma required 
  • Some college preferred
