35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS diploma or the equivalent.
  • 3+ years of highly successful administrative experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • The ability to work creatively and independently is necessary.
  • Must be adaptable in learning and implementing new technologies as needed for maximizing task performance.
  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and work well under pressure, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a high-volume operation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Tact and diplomacy and the ability to exercise judgment in matters that are sensitive and confidential are required.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Legal environment experience
  • Higher education experience


  • Provides administrative support to several professors of law and center directors, including gathering and organizing materials relating to instructional and research activities, scheduling meetings, keeping calendars, and receiving visitors.
  • Assists with planning and coordinating programs (such as seminars, colloquia, special events, and conferences), arranging publicity, catering, travel arrangements, reimbursements, and honoraria.
  • Acts as liaison between professors, fellows, guest speakers, students, scholars, and other academic institutions.
  • Provides administrative assistance to visiting scholars, fellows, and faculty as assigned.
  • Arranges travel itineraries and prepares travel and business expense reports for submission to the Business Office.
  • Works with faculty, students, and Clerkship Office in preparing clerkship and other letters of recommendation.
  • Prepares course materials and syllabi; updates course website (Course Works); assigns groups to teaching assistants and schedules TA sessions and review sessions/makeup classes.
  • Performs basic legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal software databases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
