Job Summary/Description:

Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:


  • Provide outstanding customer service back to internal colleagues and employees, both domestically and internationally: As well as fostering and nurturing the external relationship with key vendors.
  • Maintains and responsible for list of all current nonimmigrant visa holders, including role, immigration status and expiration dates, and home company/country information and contract components if expatriated: Includes but not limited to proactive communication with employee, legal counsel and manager with regards to expiry of documents in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of immigration regulations and international travel restrictions
  • Partners with external legal counsel to determine the application strategy for immigrant and non-immigration visa applications
  • Supports USCIS and Consulate visa application processes, including monitoring status, initiating renewals and reviewing visa application documents (E.g., G-28, I-129, I-129S, I-797, and support letters)
  • Manages the Permanent Resident (green card) process by obtaining internal approvals, completing/reviewing required application forms (9089, I-140 and I-485), monitoring status and communicating to employees.
  • Together with Payroll team, coordinates expatriate tax support needs to facilitate timely expat tax filings: Supports appropriate communication back to employees.
  • Educates employees, People Business Partners, recruiters and managers on immigration requirements and processes
  • Provides partnership and support to candidates and recruiters, by coordinating with the external legal counsel to determinate appropriate sponsorship path and work authorization.
  • Helps in creating and maintaining a continuous improvement environment by building policies and procedures as it relates to immigration.
  • Global Mobility
  • Partners with global expat and mobility teams of Enel’s foreign entities to manage life cycle of expatriate contracts
  • Maintains intracompany agreements governing expatriate assignments to/from Enel North America, Inc. as well as secondment contracts of expatriated employees
  • Ensures proper execution of recharge agreements between Enel North America, Inc. and Enel’s foreign entities
  • Audits intracompany invoices for expatriate personnel costs to ensure conformity with contracts and processes related recharge payments
  • Within Enel’s internal expatriate management tool, maintains accurate information/ tracks assignment status, initiates actions and runs reports
  • Assists with preparation for localization of expats and international transfers into the USA and Canada
  • Purchasing
  • Serves as purchasing specialist for invoices, ensuring accuracy of billed charges and processing via company’s payment platforms (SAP R4P and S4P systems for PR, PO and SES creation)

1-3 years of Immigration Management experience in a high volume environment.
0-2+ years of expat management experience.
Knowledge of US and Canadian immigration processes
Working knowledge of Excel (i.e – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to be highly organized, dedicated to follow through, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with I-9 Compliance, preferred
Bachelor’s degree in an HR or related field of study, required
