Job Summary/Description:

• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Manage and direct the company’s accounting team, processes and procedures
• Monthly closing, BS reconciliation and cash management
• Participate in the company’s ERP evaluation, implementation and successful utilization
• Hire and develop the accounting team properly balancing internal and external resources
• Direct and manage 3rd party BPO provider and outsourced functions
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate
accounting of consolidated business results
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial reports and statements
• Coordinating activities of external auditors
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Managing the budget process
• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Manage and establish cost standards for manufacturing
• Reconcile and report cost variances between actual and standard costs and develop corrective actions
with functional leadership
• Direct and manage plant accountants in standard cost development, capital plan development,
payback and ROI project analysis, plant KPIs, variance reporting and corrective actions
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and
implementing new processes
• Develop a thorough understanding of all facets of TruRoots business including
commodities/fruit/vegetable, supply chain, markets, channels, customers and consumers.
• Interact with Management in the development of project plans, prioritization and cross-project
matters to enable effective, efficient and timely project delivery

• Knowledge of business issues, understanding of functional interrelationships, industry knowledge and
use of best practices

• BS in Accounting, CPA or MBA/Masters degree preferred
• Consumer goods retail product and FS background with experience in F&B and manufacturing
• Carve out and start up experience a plus
• Experience with PE and M&A
• Experience setting up an accounting department and implementing policies and procedures
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with a proven ability to develop and analyze complex issues
• Ability to quickly grasp (intuition) key business drivers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong presentation preparation and delivery.
• Proven ability to successfully lead teams and partner with other functions to achieve success in a
dynamic work environment. Build consensus and interact effectively at numerous levels throughout
the organization
• A self-starter with an ability to address strategic issues as well as day-to-day operational concerns
• Must be approachable, open-minded and gain the trust and confidence of senior management

• Proven track record in mentoring and developing professional staff
• Experience in managing and enterprise-wide accounting operation
• Hands on experience with ERP Financial, Distribution and Manufacturing modules
