Position supports the planning, technical analysis, general management, transactions and auditing of a wide variety of technical and business functions and technical processes of specific operating and support areas throughout the Facilities organization.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides project close-out support for all Facilities Capital and O&M projects throughout the  state.
  • Creates workorders for Capital and O&M projects.  
  • Performs complex analytical, technical and administrative tasks.
    • Manages Company’s asset records added or removed for unitization or retirement within the Company’s real property balance sheet system(PowerPlan)
    • Assimilates data from various sources and factors multiple systems and processes into decisions.  SAP/PowerPlan/Drawing .pdf/Excel/Contracts/Bid Proposals/Quotes/Invoices/Accounts Payable records
    • Analyzes data and develops technical solutions, systems or procedures and implements recommendations.
    • Provides support and direction specific to configuration control, data management and project management.
    • Ensures newly installed or modified equipment is properly classified and identified, requiring the interpretation of technical drawings.
      • Maintain facility asset and preventive maintenance records from creation through disposal
      • Assist in providing oversight of preventative maintenance procedures (33,000).
      • Maintain and manage SAP equipment records (6,700).
      • Analyzes and interprets technical data to create equipment records, and maintenance plans within SAP.
      • Provides leadership and creates process controls to help the department and organization function more effectively and efficiently.
      • May be involved with supporting individual business units with SAP Data Management initiatives.
      • Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of equipment master data sheets for individual projects.
      • Creates and assures completion of interim and final acceptance close-out documents with identified responsible parties.
      • Assists with identification of equipment needing tagging or maintenance plans
      • Enters related information into SAP, including, but not limited to : technical ID’s, and maintenance plans.
      • Responsible Information Life Cycle Management representative for Facilities Operations and Projects team.
      • Analyze project details during project initiation and close out to determine Capital vs O&M funding guideline requirements.
      • Identifies potential new capital assets and completes Capital Review Forms for consideration.
      • Research and analyze project work order charges to resolve cost discrepancies and request journal entries and capital transfers as applicable.
      • Design and distribute internal operating reports, including statistical and analytical reports used for financial decision making .
      • Manages work order status to ensure proper depreciation occurs as assets are placed into service.
      • Monitor the Construction in Progress (CIP) orders for accuracy in reporting AFUDC charges
      • Define and build Work Breakdown Structures (WBS Elements) for effective allocation of resources, project budgeting, and procurement management.
      • Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes as needed
Requirements:Skills: Functional experience in SAP, PowerPlan, equipment identification, functional locations, base knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil, structural and architectural drawings and diagrams, and understanding of functionality of mechanical and electrical systems. Exceptional communication skills, strong customer focus and good understanding of software functionality to provide support and direction to successfully initiate and close out projects, as well as support process development and data management initiatives. Education: A high school diploma or GED, Associates degree in Accounting, bachelors degree preferred 3-5 years of related experience
