Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for managing the smooth operations of the day to day accounting functions and for providing key reports and analysis to assist in informing strategic and operational business decisions. This Controller will work closely with both the CEO and the COO as well as the CFO to strengthen and build the systems for a highly functioning finance department in light of significant organizational growth. This position sits on the Senior Management Team and is a great opportunity for a leader with exceptional expertise looking for the next growth opportunity.

Client JD:

  • Ensure the smooth, timely and accurate operations of the accounting functions
  • Oversee, evaluate and manage 3-4 staff members in the accounting, payroll, and development functions of the agency
  • Act as primary liaison with contract managers, banking representatives, investment advisors and other key business relationships
  • Manage cash flows, produce cash flow reports
  • Oversee and produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for both management and the Board
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state grant requirements and any loan covenants
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual Audit and other required state and federal filings
  • Continue to develop and enhance operations and fiscal systems that thread through the entire organization
  • Assume a leadership role in producing the annual budget while ensuring a collaborative process
  • Provide various financial analysis and models as needed
  • Other projects and duties as assigned based on business needs
