A day in the life of a Sourcer can mean toggling between all of these activities:

  • Driving partnerships with stakeholders in and out of Talent Acquisition to develop a comprehensive understanding of our open roles and buildout strategic sourcing plans
  • Creating an on-going pipeline of diverse talent leveraging a variety resources (professional networking sites, social sourcing, ATS, LinkedIn, networking, referral campaigns, etc)
  • Seeking to understand hiring needs for the business and creatively source in specified areas
  • Working within LinkedIn to gain a solid understanding of the market to source talent as well as competitor insights valuable to the recruitment process
  • Engaging with the Lead Recruiter on searches and attending job launch meetings, tailoring personalized messaging, and crafting engagement strategies with the intent of assessing and enriching data around leads to develop a pipeline of candidates
  • Presenting vetted slates of talent with write-ups to recruiters or hiring managers across assigned functions while guiding candidate experience in partnership with recruiters
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement to existing sourcing processes, procedures and systems
  • Building acumen around talent sourcing as a subject matter expert; staying in tune to best practices and share new recommendations
  • May participate in virtual networking events and career fairs as well as occasional onsite engagement in Corporate office to attend critical meetings or support recruitment initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Talent Sourcing role or related recruitment experience within the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry; Must have broad expertise working across opportunities in R&D, Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Development Medical Affairs, Commercial/Business Development, Market Access, & Corporate Functions, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g. recruiting on social platforms, searching within an ATS or job boards, crafting Boolean search strings, LI Recruiter, ER Campaigns, etc.)
  • Ability to utilize market data to create a sourcing strategy
  • Knowledge and ability to use LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Ability to screen, assess and present talent for open roles highlighting experience and credentials critical to the position
  • Passion for networking and the ability to uncover candidates
  • Prior experience building a social media network
  • An eye for future thinking and process improvement focused
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple roles and projects at one time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must Haves:

  • Having a go-getter mentality in addition to a service delivery mindset and proven track record of achieving targets, whether those be deadlines, recruiting goals, or both.
  • Being a true collaborator who builds trust within partnerships and leverages insights from the recruiting team to source for difficult to fill positions
