Job Summary/Description:

The Commission Analyst will work closely with Sales Leadership and the People & Organization team to develop, own and administer our commission calculation systems and  processes for both our internal sales team and external referral partner community.

Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

Own all aspects of the day to day operations leading to accurate and timely monthly and quarterly compensation payments for both internal and external stakeholders
Design, develop, test and implement annual compensation plans
Serve as the technical lead for Xactly, translating annual compensation plan documents into a series of formula and logic within the calculation engine
Ensuring that the plan is maintained in real-time throughout the year to reflect any changes within the organization, including people and plan changes
Build, document and maintain standard operating procedures for sales compensation. Develop processes to safeguard against errors.
Partner with Sales, Finance, and People & Organization to identify and implement operational improvements related to internal and cross-functional processes
Serve as the subject matter expert on commission calculations and be able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
Manage salesforce objects that capture commissions data. Activities include: ensuring information is accurately captured, manual updates to non-automated calculations, significant use of reporting
Assist and research commission-related questions to bring to resolution
Provide ongoing training for salespeople on Xactly software and commission processes
Assist with ad hoc commission data gathering, reporting, analysis and other projects as needed
Assist in drafting and distributing annual commission policies and statements
Making consistent, positive contributions to establishing and maintaining an inclusive team culture of professional excellence

Qualifications:
 

  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or alternate cloud-based CRM
  • Experience with 3rd partner commissions tools (e.g. Xactly)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects on a tight deadline
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information with discretion
  • Strong, concise communicator
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and have enthusiasm for finding efficiencies
  • Excited to continue to scale our commission process through supporting the sales team, developing our systems, and improving the commission model
