Job Summary:

The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the daily processing for accounts payables and accounts receivables.  This role will provide general day to day support as well as support for special projects.  Responsibilities will include accounts payable coordination, accounts receivables coordination, and general administrative support to management and other colleagues as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships

  • Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Finance department and work towards those goals.

  • Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.

  • Entering accounting data into Oracle for both accounts receivables and accounts payables; audit data for accuracy.

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and coordinate approval prior to payment.

  • Assist with the company check run by matching checks to vouchers and check distribution.

  • Maintain required accounts payable and accounts receivable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate files.

  • Respond promptly to employee and vendor inquiries as required.

  • Maintain vendor files.

  • Review and reconcile vendor statements.

  • Post transactions to journal entries.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.



  • High School Diploma or GED required.  

  • Business school, Associate’s degree or equivalent is a plus. 

  • 0 – 2 years of related experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work accurately in a fast-paced, hectic, ever-changing environment with strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor own work to ensure quality, accuracy, and thoroughness.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and time-management skills.

  • Able to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the Internet.

  • Database knowledge a plus.

  • E-mail experience, Outlook preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential information.

  • Proactive and able to work independently.

  • Required to sit for long periods of time. 

  • Infrequent light physical effort or lifting required.
