What you will do

  • Liaises with each department for procurement-to-pay

  • Ensuring compliance with SOX  

  • Prepares and records journal entries

  • Handles accounts receivable cash receipts for North America

  • Reconcile incoming payments for training and partner credits

  • Handles credit card processing and reconciliation to credit card platform

  • Processes Accounts Payable invoices for US and Canada and W-9 verification for new vendors

  • Assists with 1099 year-end preparation and filing

  • Handles employee expenses for US and Canada using expense reimbursement platform; assists with review process; challenges information to detect compliance & policy issues

  • Training new hires on expense reports and the Purchasing Card program

  • Assists in preparation and filing of state sales tax returns

  • Assists in month end close (accruals and other financial reporting supporting schedules)

  • Assists with account reconciliations and analysis specifically Corporate & Purchase Card Reconciliation

  • Assists with weekly cash forecasts (Cash receipts and AP)

  • Ad hoc reporting / projects as needed

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to understand/navigate ERPs and other software with limited instruction.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a general accounting environment, general ledger experience preferred.

  • Experience working in a SOX environment
