The Program Manager will be responsible for temporarily managing one or more established company programs that serve faculty, staff or students. Represents program to public, University community and those served by the program. Ensures that program and service delivery objectives are met while under management. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to forecasting revenues and expenses, creating a budget for the program, allocating resources from one area of the budget to another with limited review, negotiating with external suppliers, signing contracts of significance on behalf of the program, creating and implementing department systems, practices, policies and procedures, and developing and maintaining internal and external constituent relationships. The Manager will maintain and use files, records, materials and digital content about the program. Candidate should have 3+ years of program management experience in a large scale, complex higher education or non-profit setting.
Provide guidance to project teams on how to incorporate design thinking, human factors engineering, product development, and systems design into their projects
Attend team meetings to support multidisciplinary teams:
Support early brainstorming and clarification of “fuzzy” ideas as teams design for feasibility, usability, and acceptability of tools and measurement tools
Support teams to connect to end-users’ experience as well as facilitators and barriers to systems changes
Guide teams to simplify concepts and ideas, drive to clarity and impact, and always keep the goal and end-users in mind
Conduct user research (develop discussion guides, synthesis, and recommendations for tool design and improvement)
Provide guidance to teams executing frontline interviews and/or prototype testing
Facilitate occasional workshops for brainstorming, workflow and journey mapping, user profiling, etc. (usually in 60-90 min team meeting)
Provide creative services to help visualize ideas to drive clarity and understanding in early stages of ideas
Produce early versions and revisions of tools to be used in rapid cycle testing with end users
Develop & produce final versions of tools to be used in formal testing (tools may be paper based, web based, or integrated into existing systems in the healthcare setting)
Leverage Miro (or similar) to support virtual design process
