The overall responsibilities of the Contracts Specialist include, but are not limited to, managing and overseeing all aspects of Franchise Administration from the beginning of the franchise relationship to the end, including having responsibility for maintaining the government mandated and regulated franchise disclosure documents.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Generate new agreements, contracts and amendments using existing templates

  • Process all contracts-related duties including creating, amending, communicating, logging, filing/scanning, reporting, etc

  • Manage the Franchise Sales Approval Committee (FSAC)

  • Collect necessary documents from Sales and Region Directors regarding prospects

  • Conduct credit/background searches

  • Review paperwork received and redline risk factors

  • Schedule and conduct FSAC meetings

  • Generate all MUDA and Franchise Agreements and any related supporting agreements

  • Communicate with Region Directors, FBCs and Sales on specific deal terms

  • Create and generate all License Agreements associated with various Incentive Programs

  • Research questions and analyze contractual language in Regional License Agreements and Salon Franchise Agreements for a variety of departments.

  • Manage the Default Process

  • Coordinate the FDD filing process for our 3 brands

  • Conduct due diligence for acquisitions; maintain master lists of documents and provide legal representatives working on the acquisition with the necessary documents

  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to meet critical deadlines

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of contracts, amendments and addenda 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative support role

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration strongly preferred

Franchise system experience a plus
