Senior Accounting Representative
3 Month Duration – Contract Only

Job Location: Remote to start (probably until September) Office is in Irvine, CA

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Must Haves

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent 3-4 years experience working in Accounts Payable
  • 3-4 years in vendor set up verification / supplier review
  • Excellent computer skills including usage of Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • JD Edwards ERP experience

Job Summary
The right candidate has prior experience and knowledge of setting up vendors for payments, including validating banking information to set up electronic payments.

  • Analyze and maintain vendor file
  • Establish and follow processes for setting up suppliers, HCPs and employees in accordance with SOX.
  • Review and verify information for vendor set up to ensure accuracy and appropriate approvals have been obtained (including performing phone verification to validate banking information)
  • Key point of contact with vendors and internal customers
  • Identify and resolve issues related to supplier set up through collaboration with both internal customers and external suppliers

Top skills:

  • Excellent computer skills including usage of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP application; preferably JDE
  • Analyze and maintain vendor files to maintain accuracy of information
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and high volume with emphasize on accuracy and timeliness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills including the ability to convey instructions and training, and effectively persuade to drive achievement of objectives

Additional Skills:

  • Able to read, comprehend, write and speak English
  • Full knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and requirements in Accounting
  • Knowledge in ACH technologies and similar systems
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP application (e.g JDE)
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to influence and achieve objectives
  • Ability to prioritize competing objectives in a fast paced environment

• Knowledge of and adherence to EW policies and procedures
• Must be able to work in a team environment under limited supervision
• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of  influence/control
