The Mail Clerk position is assigned primary responsibility of sorting incoming and outgoing mail each day. This position also delivers mail to the appropriate departments and/or sort mail to the prospective outside location or company in addition to assisting with expresses and tracking packages as needed.
Must be able to stand, walk, and work as necessary to function effectively in a mail center environment including but not limited to walking long distances, climbing stairs, pushing mail cart, and lift up to 20 pounds/stacking boxes. Will walk 80% of the day. Must be able to hear and speak clearly in order to effectively communicate with others
- Must possess basic computer skills including word processing, new track pad system and future software updates, and e-mail system.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and communicate, orally and in writing, or possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must possess general knowledge of postal procedures, regulations and equipment.
- HOURS: 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday
