Team Size: Managing 210-250 employees, working with a few other HR employees and many leaders in the company

Must Haves: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Manufacturing Background
  • 5 years of Generalist experience

  • PHR/SHRM-CP or advanced degree in Human Resources preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, or related degree program required.
    • HR Management experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Management role.
    • Experience leading and developing HR and Operations professionals
    • Knowledge of employment laws.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or advanced degree in Human Resources preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

SUMMARY

Strategic business partner to the Director of Operations and Director, Global Human Resources to foster a high-performance culture which emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.  Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization’s human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, training, benefits, recruitment, compliance and employee relations. Manages the HR initiatives in accordance with the policies and practices of the corporation, ethical business standards, and the laws, regulations, and administrative rulings of governmental agencies and other regulatory or advisory authorities.  

 

This is a Regional Human Resources Manager position that will have responsibility for two sites:  Franklin, Wisconsin, and Pottstown, Pennsylvania.  The successful candidate may live near either location; however, they must be present at each site 50% of the time year-round.

  • Administers the development and execution of short- and long-term operational objectives for the Human Resources Department that are aligned with the strategic and operational plans.
  • Manages time, attendance, and payroll systems, processes, and procedures; ensures compliance.
  • Manages unemployment cases.
  • Manages HR administration, ensures compliance of all record keeping.
  • Provides Company metrics and reporting as required.
  • Supports the development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge related to all laws, regulations, and statutes governing human resource activities, proactively engaging in and supporting communications or activities to ensure compliance and oversee policy administration.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supervises the HR staff of 4.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provides ongoing training to applicable staff to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance.  Meets with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Carlisle IT is a clean facility housing different kind of machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic.  These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs.  In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection. 

 

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
  • Hearing protection, in specific locations 
  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
