Financial Analyst/Forensic Accountant – Part-Time

Day to Day Accountabilities:


Assist in brand royalty assurance initiatives to identify reporting variances and risks in new company initiatives and across various sales channels (delivery, alternative payment devices, etc.)

  • Test and review gaps in the sales reporting process, research back office reports, prepare and send forms for correction of sales to  mitigate underreporting and other Loss Prevention risks


Engage in department initiatives involving identification of suspicious activity through the use of Business Intelligence (BI) systems and be a resource for understanding and utilizing available systems and tools to analyze and benchmark Point of Sale data trends

  • Expand the development of utilizing Point of Sale data to identify risks and provide meaningful analysis to franchisees


Participate in franchisee investigations through conducting data analysis to analyze franchisee business records.

  • Conduct financial analysis, payroll analysis, cash flow analysis, tracing funds, etc. including data entry and summarization in the course of franchisee investigation


These assignments may require the ability to temporarily manage and coordinate tasks with peers and provide updates to the Manager as needed.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in business finance, accounting, or analytics), advanced degree a plus
  • Experience in forensic accounting, or auditing, data analytics, or financial services industry with investigative experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing data utilizing excel, Business Intelligence, or other data analysis tools


Key Competencies:

  • Self-motivated, organized, and ability manage multiple priorities at the same time; strong project and process management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word with preferred experience and knowledge of pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced functions
  • Exceptional financial / analytical skills
  • An investigative mind and strong problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills- oral and written
