HS diploma 

Job Responsibilities:
Emergency Department PER-
Providing administrative support for the unit
Interfacing with patients/families and staff to triage requests for information and services
Organizing medical records, information, materials and supplies
Answering, screening and routing telephone calls
Greeting visitors when they come to the floor; going over unit protocols and rules with visitors
Updating the physician, nurse and clinical assistant assignments in the computer system and on whiteboards outside of patient rooms
Announcing codes over the loud speaker (i.e. Code Blue  =  Medical Emergency)
Qualifications (degree, past experience):
High school diploma required
Previous customer service and/or administrative experience

Need to have a strong attention to detail, as well as flexibility to adapt to changes in the department/patients – very busy and high stress/high touch environment
