    Key Responsibilities

  • Redlining/marking up vendor contracts and company templates for supplier and legal review

  • Gathering business case requirements, completing and distributing project-based RFP/RFI requests, evaluating third-party responses, and facilitating service discussions and selections for analysis and business review 

  • Aiding internal vendor relationship owners with contract cost and scope negotiation and review as needed, including risk remediation language 

  •  

    Core Strengths

  • Solid experience in software contracting

  • Excellent contract analysis and /redlining skills

  •  
  • Ensuring contractual compliance with applicable regulations and laws (e.g., FINRA, SEC, and others) 

  • Verifying that agreements have supplier accountability, including performance metrics, licensing and data provisioning rights, SLAs, and certificates of insurance

  • Preparing contract renewals, extensions, and termination letters

  • Updating contract database system of record to maintain accurate vendor status and contract inventory

  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and additional improvements; recommending and implementing policy and process changes as appropriate

  • Fostering collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers while representing Commonwealth with professionalism and integrity

  • Resolving contract disputes or issues with suppliers in conjunction with our internal relationship owners

  • Assisting with contracts training to help educate others on the benefits of sound, efficient procurement contract practices

Will consider temp to perm for the right candidate

Up to 30/hr. Flex for IT contracts experience 

The perm job has been open so long they are falling way behind.

If you have any perm people with IT contract experience, love to see them as well.

 

The perm job is still open, but for a temp, they are slimming it way back. Would love someone with some contracts experience to come in and help them churn through contracts/language to make sure everything in certain contracts is there, so contract review experience, maybe some negotiation experience but they don’t need the RFP experience, and they don’t need to be an IT contract person like the perm req is calling for. This would be more of a Contract Admin than an analyst.
