· Follow processes to monitor and report on a subportfolio of subrecipients’ budget to actual comparisons and forecasts

· Manage review and approval of financial transactions (invoices, purchase orders, consulting agreements)

· Reconcile BU accounts and follow up with stakeholders, as needed

· Support the financial reporting obligations to the five CARB-X sponsors relating to the project; assist with funder grant reports and financial summaries for senior staff

· Provide expense forecasts and generate actual vs. budget status reports, explanation of variances, and forecasted expenses for assigned accounts

· Communicate with subrecipients to ensure spending and invoicing remains on track, and to adjust forecasted costs, as applicable; collaborate with CARB-X R&D team on quarterly reviews and forecasts

· Collaborate effectively with BU Central Offices at all stages to ensure alignment and effective outcomes of financial and project compliance elements of the contracted CARB-X projects

Relevant skills and experience required:

– Sponsored research grants administration in an academic or nonprofit research setting

– Experience with federal and nonfederal grant awards

– SAP experience preferred

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex information

– Proficiency with Excel
