The Quality Technician, under direction of the Director, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, is responsible for performing release testing on our products.  This includes freeze/thaw determination, syneresis, compression modulus and thickness.  This position also supports R&D efforts on an occasional basis.  The position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Prepare PCM samples for testing

• Execute PCM test protocol

• Analyze and report PCM test results

• Maintain PCM retain inventory

• Update related QMS controlled test methods and forms as needed

• Perform other analytical testing per established protocol as needed

• Perform standard QA inspections in manufacturing

• Perform FAI (First article) inspections on raw materials and/or finished goods

• Perform final product inspections, including CoCs (Certificates of Compliance), as needed

• Ensure all non-conforming product is properly labeled and dispositioned in accordance with documented procedures 

• Support additional QA team activities as needed

• Support and participate in operational excellence activities

• Work in compliance with all company safety guidelines 

• Support the company’s 5S program

• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Associate degree preferred

• Experience in a laboratory setting performing analytical testing

• Experience in an ISO 9001:2008 or similar environment

• Experience in a cGMP environment preferred

• Auditing/inspecting experience a plus

• Experience with Six Sigma DMAIC methodology a plus

• Ability to use Minitab software a plus

• Proficient with MS Word and Excel

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
