Description:

  • Generate manual and system-driven journal entries to be reviewed by the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller, including the creation of necessary analyses and back-up support

  • Prepare various accruals including international marketing, expense reports, professional services, and more

  • Assist with customer invoicing, payment application, tax filings, and vouching of accounts payable invoices

  • Assist with the preparation of intercompany journal entries, reconciliations, and coordination with parent company on the appropriate accounting

  • Maintain accounts and sub-ledgers and prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, including the timely resolution of any outstanding reconciling items

  • Help with the creation of financial statements and budget to actual analyses

  • Preparation for, and assistance with, annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)

  • Intermediate to advanced experienced with MS Office applications, primarily Excel

  • Excellent general work habits, including willingness to work hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important and inevitable deadlines cause greater than normal department pressures

  • Team player with previous cross-functional exposure who can liaise with various departments and levels regularly

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, to solve problems

  • Proactive, motivated, self-starter that is looking for upward mobility and progression in their accounting careers

  • 2-3 years of postgraduate work experience (public accounting or publicly traded company preferred)
