What You'll Be Doing

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, client invoicing, accounts payable processing, new project setup in Netsuite.

 

The successful candidate should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Senior Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized. Having professional services and/or Netsuite experience is a plus. 

 

This opportunity would be a great fit for an individual looking to take on a leadership role within an accounting organization with the potential to grow into a managerial position in the future.

 

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Manage and process AR and AP

  • Setup all new projects, billing, and revenue recognition schedules in NetSuite

  • Process payroll and maintain 401(k) payments and schedules

  • Maintain compliance calendar and manage filings

  • Track client Ad spend budgets

  • Train staff outside of Finance on systems (T&M, project reporting) 

  • Help establish, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures using GAAP principles and maintain effective GAAP-compliant internal controls

  • Assisting with month and year-end close

  • Assist with audit and tax filing

  • Assist with ad-hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field

  • 6-8 years of accounting experience

  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP

  • Experience with professional services organizations

  • Familiarity with Netsuite a plus

  • Experience with MS Excel, including technical concepts like Vlookups and pivot tables

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong organizational and stress management skills
